My Background

I am the CAS Global Experiences Coordinator, an intercultural trainer certified in Global Dexterity Training, and writer. I have worked as an Intercultural Program Specialist, and have also taught kindergarten and English as a Second Language. In 2016, I worked with and advised both study abroad students and international students at Tulane University. I keep busy as an active member of the Society for Education, Training, and Research USA (SIETAR USA) and the National Association for Black Engagement with Asia (NABEA). Of course, I love learning languages! I speak Mandarin, and have also studied French, Korean, and Lithuanian.
 

Growing up as a military brat, I have lived in many different states and countries. I moved to Lincoln from Mississippi in 2026.

My Study/Work Abroad

During my undergraduate studies at the University of the Pacific, I studied abroad for one semester in Beijing, China and one semester in Seoul, South Korea. After graduating, I returned to China to teach English in Yongkang for a year. I also lived in Stuttgart, Germany for two years with my family.

My Ideal Next Travel Destination

I would love to return to Beijing, and I am also looking forward to visiting India and Thailand someday!
