My Background

I am originally from Oklahoma and lived in the Sooner State until 2022 when I moved to Nebraska. I have family roots in the U.S. and Vietnam. Before joining Global Experiences, I worked in banking for over 4 years and then worked in UNL Housing for over 2.5 years. With my business degree, ongoing education degree, and work experience, I hope to bring in new perspectives to assist our office and help students’ dreams of going abroad come true. I’m very excited to join the team!

My Study/Work Abroad

My bachelor’s degree included coursework in international business, core business principles, international economics, international monetary relations, and more. I was accepted to study abroad for a semester in 2020 but unfortunately could not. My master’s degree includes coursework in student development, law and higher education, human resource management, and comparative international education. I went to South Korea on a faculty-led program this summer to complete my degree and graduate in August.

Purpose

Purpose: I chose the faculty-led program to South Korea because it allowed me to deepen my cultural understanding and global education mindset. I hope that I can assist and support students' global experiences with my work in the Global Experiences Office.

My Ideal Next Travel Destination

After South Korea, my ideal next travel destination is Japan or Peru. I also love to scuba dive, so the Red Sea is on my bucket list. Additionally, I’ll travel anywhere I hear has good food, so if you have any recommendations let me know!
