Completing the Program

To complete the program, you will need to complete all PC Prep program requirements, earning a minimum grade of C in all related courses. You will also need to enroll in and pass the zero- 11 credit culminating course UGEP 484: Peace Corps Prep Seminar. This asynchronous course is offered in the first 8 weeks of each fall and spring semester, aligning with Peace Corps deadlines for submitting names of certificate recipients by mid-March and mid-October. While most students enroll in their final semester at Nebraska, you are eligible to enroll earlier, in the semester in which you will complete all PC Prep program requirements.

During the culminating course, you will upload your resume, cover letter, and PC Prep Exit Checklist; reflect on your mock interview; engage in discussion boards about global service; take an intercultural assessment; meet with the PC Prep Coordinator; attend at least one related event; and complete a recognition survey.

Over the course of your time in the PC Prep program, you are encouraged to attend various events that touch on topics related to Peace Corps service. There are numerous activities and events on campus and in the community that involve topics surrounding service, global perspectives, and citizen diplomacy. PC Prep Coordinator Rebecca Baskerville and faculty advisor Dr. Emira Ibrahimpasic will keep you updated on related events and will organize at least one event each semester.
