Safety Tips

Be proactive about your safety by becoming familiar with your host country, learning the language, and making local friends. Crimes against property are fairly common all over the world. Sometime during a program, something expected may happen involving a student, such as a robbery, broken arm, lost passport, etc. When things like this occur, it is important for UNL Education Abroad to be notified immediately and for the incident to be properly documented using the UNL Education Abroad Incident Report.
