Jane has been teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in Nebraska, California, and South Korea for over 20 years.  She has taught Intensive ESL grammar, writing, reading, and listening courses for the IEP.  In addition, she has taught ESL Acquisition, ELL Methods, ELL Practicum, Linguistics for the Classroom Teacher, Multicultural Education, Schools and Society, and Education in a Pluralistic Society for UNL, and English Literature, Freshman Writing Seminar, Business Writing, and Elementary Spanish for Doane University.  She has also taught numerous education classes for UNL’s Indigenous Roots Program.

Beyond teaching, Jane has co-authored over 20 books and workbooks designed to help students improve reading comprehension skills.  She is also developing programs that improve multicultural awareness for students in small rural schools, and that broaden International students’ educational experiences in the United States.

She also enjoys reading, traveling, watching movies, visiting museums, baking, and complaining about the cold Nebraska winters.
