The University of Nebraska–Lincoln was honored to host the Honorable Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, and Consul General Katanawadee Kalayanamit, along with a distinguished delegation.

Their visit included meetings with university leadership, faculty, and students, and stops at the School of Computing, Food Innovation Center, and Memorial Stadium—highlighting Nebraska’s blend of academic excellence, global engagement, and school spirit. Conversations focused on Thai student well-being and explored how international partnerships can reinforce shared goals, support workforce development, and contribute to the land-grant mission of education, research, and public service.

“This visit highlights the power of international partnerships to spark innovation and build connections that benefit students, institutions, and communities in both countries,” said AVC Stevens-Liska. “We are grateful for the Ambassador’s engagement and look forward to continued dialogue with partners in Thailand.”
