The University of Nebraska–Lincoln welcomed Tanzanian Ambassador to the United States H.E. Dr. Elsie Sia Kanza and senior leaders from the Ministries of Public Health and Agriculture as part of the State Partnership Program.

Interim NU Vice President and Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) Harlan Vice Chancellor Dr. Tiffany Heng-Moss, UNL Assistant Vice Chancellor for Global Affairs Maegan Stevens-Liska, IANR Senior Leadership, and several UNL faculty members hosted the delegation on-campus to explore collaboration in agricultural technology, innovation, and conservation—key areas for shared economic and global impact.

“This visit reflects the kind of global engagement that strengthens communities and institutions alike—and creates space for shared learning in areas shaping the future, from food systems to public health,” said AVC Stevens-Liska.

“Our conversations underscored the value of connecting applied research and education to real-world challenges,” said Heng-Moss. “We look forward to continued dialogue around areas of mutual interest and shared impact.”
