The University of Nebraska–Lincoln was honored to host a two-day meeting of Senior International Officers from the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA), the nation’s preeminent model for collaboration among research universities. The BTAA’s 14 member institutions advance their academic and global missions, share expertise, and collaborate on innovative programs that serve the common good.
The meeting provided a meaningful platform for senior international officers to share insights, address evolving priorities in global engagement, and reflect on the integral role of international education in advancing institutional goals. Conversations underscored the important contributions international students make to enriching campus life and strengthening communities across the Big Ten.
“This type of collaboration reinforces the role of research universities in addressing global challenges and highlights our shared commitment to advancing international education,” said Maegan Stevens-Liska, UNL Assistant Vice Chancellor for Global Affairs and Senior International Officer. “Nebraska is proud to be part of a network that champions the global mission of higher education through people-centered research, teaching, and community engagement."
