For Fall 2020

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will hold classes in person this fall under modified conditions that support health and safety. We are committed to preserving the high-quality educational experience that our students expect and the global impact of our research and creative activity. We are equally committed to reducing safety risks in the interest of protecting both the campus and the larger communities of which we are all a part. With these considerations in mind, we have modified our fall academic calendar:

  • Courses will begin remotely on August 17, 2020 (one week earlier than previously published). During this time, you will begin your coursework online and email with your professors before arriving to campus.
  • On-campus, in-person instruction will begin on August 24, 2020.
  • The last day of the fall semester will be November 25, 2020.

We have created four, flexible Fall 2020 enrollment options to give you guidance and confidence in planning the next step toward your university education. When you’re ready, you can choose one of the following options to declare your plans for the Fall 2020 semester.
