Earn Academic Credit While you Study English
The Credit English for Academic Purposes (CEAP) program offers provisional admission with enrollment restrictions to students who have demonstrated some level of English proficiency, but do not meet the requirements for full admission.
Students have the opportunity to receive undergraduate credit (9 semester hours) for the Intensive English curriculum, and also enroll in one additional undergraduate course (3 semester hours), which will count toward degree requirements.
CEAP admission is for a single term only. Students selected for the program are expected to:
- maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- complete the English proficiency requirement
This results in full admission to the university. Specific academic units may have additional criteria for consideration.
Students who do not meet these requirements will be considered for admission after review by an admission committee.
