International Exchange students are those who:

  • Will be studying at UNL for one year or less without receiving a degree.
  • This includes students conducting research at UNL.
  • As an exchange student you will apply for a J-1 student visa. You will apply for a form DS-2019 issued through the UNL International Affairs Office.

Typically exchange students complete one or two semesters of work at UNL before returning to their home university to graduate.
