The University of Nebraska is one of only 45 universities across the United States to receive an “A” rating for safety by Reader’s Digest magazine.

The university boasts a police force on-call 24 hours per day. Blue safety lights offer students an emergency call box with immediate police, fire, and ambulance response throughout campus. Students can also sign up for email and text message alerts that will send alerts in emergency situations and inclement weather.

UNL has its own student health center and is also located 3 kilometers from a full service hospital to serve all medical needs.
