University of Nebraska–Lincoln

The University of Nebraska is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, a city of 250,000 people located in America's heartland. Lincoln has all the amenities of a large city with a friendly small town atmosphere. UNL's City and East Campuses provide a green reprieve from the pace of city life.

Within walking distance of campus Lincoln's metropolitan downtown boasts over 72 restaurants including cuisine from all over the world, numerous coffee houses, bars and clubs, boutique shopping, and two movie theaters. 

For students who wish to explore the country during breaks, Nebraska is centrally located in the United States making it a perfect base for trips to both the west and east coast as well as other destinations in the United States.

In 2004 Lincoln was rated first in quality of life among the largest 100 cities in the United States by a State University of New York study.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is one of just 45 universities given an A rating for safety by Reader's Digest Magazine.

Transportation in Lincoln is easy with a public bus system that connects all parts of the city and whose central hub is just minutes from campus.
